About Me

Dr. Romilia Ramirez is a board certified psychologist specializing in children and adolescents, and maintains a private practice in Sugar Land, Texas.

With over 15 years experience as a school psychologist and as a graduate of Lehigh University, she is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, reading difficulties, and assessment geared toward the development of instructional strategies to improve academic difficulties. She also has a vast knowledge-training professionals (school psychologists, special education teachers, general education teachers, and diagnosticians) in a Response-to-Intervention Model.

Dr. Ramirez has published in several peer-reviewed journals.  Her research interests include, ADHD, reading interventions, assessment of culturally and linguistically diverse students. Dr. Ramirez has presented at National conferences speaking on the topics of assessment of culturally and linguistically diverse students.

Dr. Ramirez has a passion to provide support to parents and children who are looking for alternative, medication-free treatments. She integrates complementaries methodologies and techniques; review facts impacting children's mental health to help children effectively address personal life and educational challenges. She collaborates with integrative/holistic/and functional medicine doctors and experts who consider other factors that impact ones mental health - physical, spiritual, and nutritional.

With compassion and understanding, she works with children and families to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
